USB-C ports became pretty much popular in the tech world a few years ago, but there are reports that Microsoft has stepped into this arena today. Microsoft has now used the technology in it’s Surface Pro X, along with the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 7. And with that move to USB-C comes — you guessed it — dongle life.
It’s been years since many phone manufacturers including Apple and Samsung has been offering a USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter in their devices to help ease the transition, and finally, Microsoft has also understood the need for the USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter in its devices.
Though customers won’t require the USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter with the Surface Pro 7 or Surface Laptop 3, it will be necessary if you are willing to use a pair of 3.5mm headphones on your Surface Pro X.
Microsoft’s USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter can be purchased for $12, while the dongle for Apple is currently available in the market at a price of $9.
Our news sources have reported that though the all-new USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter is currently listed on the Microsoft Store, the device is currently showing out of stock on the list.
